Oven BBQ Boneless Chicken Breasts
Ingredients
-
About 2 lbs. chicken boneless breast pieces, 8 oz each, brined!
-
18 oz. bottle of barbecue sauce (I make my own or use Sweet Baby Ray's)
-
¼ cup honey
-
1.5 Tbsp. dried oregano
-
1 tsp. garlic powder
-
1 tsp. granulated onion
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
¼ tsp. freshly ground Black pepper
-
¼ tsp. smoked paprika
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°. Line a sheet pan with foil and use cooking spray (or grease). Take chicken from its brine, rinse and pat dry with paper toweling. Place chicken in a good size bowl. In a small bowl, combine barbecue sauce, honey, oregano, garlic powder, granulated onion, garlic, pepper, and paprika. Mix well and pour over chicken, reserving about 3/4 cup. Toss to coat well.
-
Place on sprayed cookie sheet.
-
Cover with foil and bake for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove cover and turn the chicken over. Baste the remaining sauce mixture over chicken. Bake uncovered for another 15 - 20 minutes or until chicken is done. Please check your chicken as time will vary with ovens and the size of chicken pieces you use.
-
Note: I also spoon some of the sauce in the dish over the chicken during the last half hour of baking to give it all the yummy coating it can get
